1. I already use a monitoring solution. How are you better?
We’re a FinOps solution designed to help you understand your cloud spend and attribute it to individual features on your website and mobile apps. Our offering does detects under provisioned or misconfigured instances but our priority is cost management and optimization
2. How are you better than AWS Cost Explorer and similar first party tools?
Cost Explorer and other cloud vendor tools give compute infra and service centric breakdown of costs. However they lack intelligence on the workloads running on your infra and their reports are not actionable. Prophesy is workload aware and delivers real business insight by correlating your cloud spend to specific features and releases. This allows you to model the ROI and key financial metrics of every feature your teams deliver.
3. What usage insights can Prophesy deliver?
We provide a feature level cost estimation across your entire service topology. This allows us to flag your most expensive calls and also track your performance during the lifecycle of the product.
4. Is there any performance impact?
Prophesy runs a lightweight agent on every compute host in your infrastructure. This agent relies on the Linux eBPF sub-system and is extremely efficient. Unlike many other Real User Monitoring (RUM) solutions we do not require code instrumentation or linking in monitoring libraries in user space which lead to performance degradion.
5. How do you attribute cost for non cloud based deployment ?
Our telemetry tech and majority of insights are cloud vendor, VM or bare-metal agnostic. Right now, we support AWS cloud deployments for cost metrics but all other user metrics, utilization metrics etc. work out of the box.
